Review: At this point in his FF run, writer/artist John Byrne is making it look quite effortless. This is a pretty typical Byrne issue, which is to say it’s quite good. With Reed Richards out of the picture (more on that in a couple of issues), the other three team members get plenty of panel time. There are quiet character moments for each, as well as strong battle sequences. In particular, the Invisible Girl’s face off with Doctor Doom is well executed; Susan Richards is really starting to come into her own. Lastly, the art is top shelf, as usual.
Grade: A-
Cool factor: The clash between Sue and Doom is great. Really, this is the issue the Invisible Girl starts down the road toward being the Invisible Woman.
