Alicia Masters’ art show is disrupted by a C-list trio from the Thing’s past – along with the Impossible Man. Mark Gruenwald and Ralph Macchio story is alright, but the art – by George Pérez and Gene Day – is a delight.

The X-Men’s return flight from Japan is mysteriously rerouted to Canada for a showdown against a new superteam – Alpha Flight. This debut outing for Marvel’s heroes from the Great White North is a good one, from the creative team of Chris Claremont, John Byrne and Terry Austin.
