Review: There is a good story about sacrifice and the cost of war in here somewhere, but it’s buried under a convoluted plot and drawn-out timeline. Still, it’s fun to see Rom return to Galador. Sal Buscema and Joe Sinnott are the epitome of journeyman artists (and that’s not a negative!)

Title: “Love Will Tear Us Apart”
Synopsis: Rom tracks down a cadre of Dire Wraiths – one of whom is struggling with human emotions.
Writer: Steven Grant
Penciler: Greg LaRocque
Inker: Steve Mitchell
Review: Bill Mantlo is so synonymous with Rom that this script “sounds” off. The art isn’t quite ready for prime time.
Grade (for the entire issue): C+
Cool factor: Rom vs. Rom on Golden Galador. Plus, so many spaceknights!
Not-so-cool factor: A coloring error causes confusion on the spaceknight pages.
Collector’s note: According to Overstreet Access, there is a 30p British variant of this issue.
Character quotable: “And … stole… my humanity… away! Alas, my … world! Alas, my … life! Would that I … could weep!” – Rom, all up in his feels
